Dr. Jameelah Nelson is a Naturopathic Doctor. She graduated from Spelman College with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and continued to receive her Masters’ of Science in Biology from Clark Atlanta University.
After school, she worked as a biologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the Division of Tuberculosis Elimination. She had the privilege to travel to Costa Rica and Nicaragua for a medical mission trip to provide healthcare to unserved communities.
After a very fulfilling career and the birth of her first son, she decided to leave the CDC to pursue her doctorate degree in Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic medicine and Health Sciences in Tempe, Arizona.
She believed that our bodies have an innate ability to heal itself given the right supportive conditions. She wants to motivate and empower her patients to take charge of their own health.
When she isn’t busy with patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys.
Dr. Nelson has a holistic approach, she focuses on your overall wellness, looking beyond mere symptoms to uncover what could be causing your illness.
